            BEHIND THE LENS

Monica Eitnier earned her first film credit the day she was born - as she was featured in an educational film on C-sections for Los Alamitos Hospital. She grew up in the greater Long Beach area as a beach girl, a ballerina, a patron of the arts (the ballet, opera, and theater), an athlete, a film buff, and an actress.

It was her Grandpa Bruce who passed on his love of film to Monica. He taught her the history of film, introduced her to "movie stars" like Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Fred Astaire & Mary Pickford who changed history.  He also taught her classic films always stay with you. Through this, she learned to appreciate all films, from the silent era to modern day.

She fell in love with old movies stars like: Audrey Hepburn, James Dean, Grace Kelly, Elizabeth Taylor, Ingrid Bergman, and many more. She worshiped directors like: Alfred Hitchock, Steven Speilberg, Baz Luhrmann, Joe Wright, and Sofia Coppolla. Some of her favorite films are: The Dictator, Rear Window, Singing In The Rain, Charade, Casablanca, Jaws, Moulin Rouge, The Pianist, Marie Antoinette, and Big Fish.

By the age of 10, Monica knew that all she wanted in life was to be an actress. She wanted to be part of the same movie magic that inspired her.

Since then, Monica went on to act as a leading lady in college plays, local theatre productions, and student films. Monica founded The Film Society at Mount Saint Mary's University in Brentwood, CA, where she earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Film & Social Justice with an emphasis in Film Studies. She also studied film and theatre at UCLA and James Franco's Studio 4. Currently, Monica is a student of legendary Hollywood acting coach, Anthony Meindl.

She is excited for the future. To life's sweet song, she'll add her voice.
